On World Mental Health Day, UICC Board member, Cristiana Fonseca shares her reflections on the psychological impacts of cancer and COVID-19 on cancer patients, their families and carers. 

A large majority of the world population cannot access medication essential to palliative care due to multifaceted and systemic barriers. This is a question of human dignity and a problem that has only intensified during the pandemic.

At today’s General Assembly, UICC full members welcomed the new President, Professor Anil D’Cruz from India, and voted for the 2020-2022 Board of Directors, including the new President-elect, Professor Jeff Dunn AO from Australia.

UICC full members have the opportunity to vote for UICC's 2020-2022 Board of Directors from among a number of renowned candidates from the global cancer community[1].
