Cancer Staging Series

Following “UICC Global Consultation on Cancer Staging” a series of short educational videos explaining the proper use of cancer staging terminology has been developed.

Geneva, Switzerland, 12 September 2018 – 2018 global cancer data suggests that the global cancer burden has risen to 18.1 million cases and 9.6 million cancer deaths.

The McCabe Centre collaboration with WHO will support development outcomes by building the capacity of low- and middle-income countries to implement legal interventions to reduce exposure to NCD risk factors; and improve laws to advance equitable healthcare as part of achieving universal health coverage.

In a few weeks, the 3rd edition of the European Country 2 Country 4 Cancer ride organised by Bristol-Myers Squibb will take place supporting the Union for International Cancer Control and selected members to raise funds with the aim of accelerating the fight against cancer and facilitating a better life for cancer patients.

Since joining the UICC Young Leaders Programme in 2017, I have had the opportunity to expand my advocacy for childhood cancer and broaden my own, as well as my organisation’s perspective on cancer control in alignment with global goals.
