On 1st October 2018, over 380 global leaders and influencers from 68 countries attended the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event brought together a highly distinguished programme of speakers and participants to share inspiring examples of multistakeholder planning and action for cancer treatment for all.
This week, UICC was announced as one of three winners of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Incredible Impact Award for impact following its 2017 World Cancer Leaders’ Summit event in Mexico City last year, during which key stakeholders in the cancer community came together to support progress in cancer control by 2025.
UICC and civil society organisations attended the Conference of the Parties (COP8) between the 1st and 6th of October in Geneva.
