The Access to Oncology Medicines (ATOM) Coalition was founded in May 2022 by the Union for International Cancer Control and global partners committed to reducing suffering and deaths caused by cancer in low- and lower middle-income countries by improving access to, and use of essential cancer medicines.

Marking World Environment Day on 5 June, UICC highlights the detrimental impact of air pollution on health, including increased cancer risks, akin to smoking tobacco, and emphasises the urgent need to reduce pollution levels and promote healthier lifestyles.
