9th Global Chinese Breast Cancer Organizations Alliance (GCBCOA) Conference

The 9th Global Chinese Breast Cancer Organizations Alliance (GCBCOA) Conference will take place between 14-15th October 2023, in Xian, China, under the theme of "Weave Dream, Spread Love, Gather Strength and Blossom".  Xian, famous for its Terra Cotta Army, is a beautiful historical city. It marks the Silk Road’s eastern end and was home to many of China’s dynasties’ ruling houses. It is a place not to be missed.  

GCBCOA Conferences are held every two years providing a great opportunity to learn and share. Over the last seventeen years, GCBCOA Conferences have been held in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Taichung, Taipei, and Los Angeles. At each conference, participants include world-renowned medical professionals, research specialists, and representatives from breast cancer patient groups as well as breast cancer patients worldwide. Inheriting the spirit of the 8th Conference, the 9th GCBCOA conference will carry the torch further and strive to work harder to achieve our goal. Topics such as the trends and projections on breast cancer, diagnosis and treatment, survivorship, patient support, operation and management of patient organisations and patient services, are part of the rich and exciting content. There will also be inspiring education workshops combined with interesting Q&A interactions with participants.   

A new International Cooperation Forum will also be included in this year’s Conference. where breast cancer groups and experts from different countries can share their work, their view and discuss collaboration. The conference provides a good opportunity for all breast cancer survivors, volunteers, leaders, stakeholders, and researchers from the global breast cancer community to meet after the long COVID break.   

There is also the possibility of applying for a travel grant for early registered participants.
