Philippe Guinot is the Chief Operating Officer of UICC. He has occupied this position since 2024.

Philippe Guinot is an accomplished executive with over 30 years of strategic leadership experience across the pharmaceutical and global health sectors. As the recent COO and Chief Technical Officer at IntraHealth International, he led the organisation’s 2030 vision, overseeing digital transformation, business development, and partnerships that advance health initiatives. His leadership has been pivotal in enhancing IntraHealth’s impact through decentralisation and innovative financing approaches.

Prior to IntraHealth, Philippe held multiple senior roles at PATH, including Chief of Business Finance and Operations and Senior Director of Country Programs. He led the organization's global programs across 17 countries, strengthening partnerships and spearheading resource mobilization efforts. He also played a crucial role in adapting organizational strategies post-COVID, streamlining operations, and improving efficiency by diversifying donor bases and reducing costs.

Philippe also served as Director of Innovation and Partnerships at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition and spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry, holding various strategic marketing and finance positions. His experience includes 10 years at Roche, where he led marketing initiatives for key product portfolios and played a critical role in product lifecycle management.

Philippe currently serves on the board of IT4Life, reflecting his dedication to leveraging technology for social impact. He holds an MBA from INSEEC Bordeaux and is fluent in French, English, and Portuguese.

UICC is governed by its member organisations, who meet in a genera assembly, held virtually shortly before the World Cancer Congress, every two years. Between assemblies, a board of directors, elected by the General Assembly, acts as the executive body of UICC.

The General Assembly is the supreme governing body of the Union for International Cancer Control.

Between assemblies, a board of 16 directors, elected by the General Assembly, acts as the governing body of UICC.
