2024 call for Technical Fellowships opens 3 June

UICC opens the 2024 Technical Fellowships call for applications from 3 June to 12 August with a new sub-programme for Latin American professionals and continued support for Francophone Africa.

UICC will open its 2024 call for applications for the Technical Fellowships from 3 June, closing on 12 August. Technical Fellowships allow cancer professionals to gain new skills and knowledge in cancer control through short-term international visits of between two weeks to up to two months.

In 2024, UICC is opening the opportunity for individuals from Latin America to apply in Spanish via the new Becas para América Latina sub-programme. As per previous years, applicants from Francophone Africa will continue to be able to apply via the Bourses pour l’Afrique Francophone.

In line with UICC’s mission, the Technical Fellowships focus on supporting the implementation of evidence-based interventions with proven public health impact in cancer control. Individuals can focus on topics across the cancer continuum such as cancer prevention and early detection, access to treatment, palliative and supportive care, as well as cross-cutting and critical health system enablers for effective cancer control, such as cancer registries.

Technical Fellowship applicants should demonstrate that their learning objective is relevant not only to them personally, but also to their institution and to their country's wider health system. This will ensure that they benefit as much as possible from the skills and knowledge they acquire.

For individuals from UICC members who are interested to apply, and require connections or support, please contact fellows@uicc.org for dedicated assistance.
