New specialised-HPV unit launched in Italy

Header Paragraph

A HPV-Unit that specialises in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the HPV infection has recently been launched by the Istituto Nazionale Tumori Regina Elena. The HPV-Unit aims to be a point reference for patients to receive accurate information and care. Also, it intends to become a platform that brings together all professionals involved in HPV to participate in training courses and share specific protocols among gynaecologists.

The Unit is composed of a multidisciplinary group of specialised professionals working together thanks to a collaboration between the Regina Elena National Cancer Institute and the San Gallicano Dermatological Institute. The Unit provides clinical excellence and the most updated services, such as the preventative HPV vaccine for women and men, and diagnosis and treatment of all the HPV-related diseases (gynaecology, dermatology, proctology, otolaringology and psychology).
